Hey there,

I have put up a preview of four drawings I have made on the Saatchi Gallery's website, but I thought I'd put some up here too. Together with photographs my father took, as part of the "Traces" project. I am working on a website, and when that is finished all the works we have made so far will be published there. We are also thinking of continuing the project, travel to other cities, keep an ongoing traces-project. And when we have a bigger body of work, maybe exhibit them or publish them.
I must say I so enjoyed the process of making these, perhaps more than any other project I have done so far. Strolling the streets of Paris together looking for interesting traces of people to photograph or process an other way. My father took the pictures and I made notes, collected found letters/photographs etc. When we got back in Amsterdam I started making drawings/collages from all the images in my head, my notebook, found on the street and photographs we ended up not selecting but were a good starting point for a drawing/collage. They are pairs, so to say.

And thanks everyone for voting and supernice messages I got! Even though the work is part of a series and not made to stand on its own, I thought I'd join anyway. Voting is still open.
