This is a collage I made for Anabel's secret project. When it's not so secret anymore, I sure will post about it... Posted by Picasa

I am in Paris! The two coming weeks this blog will be titled "Treats & Treasures a Paris". The only differences with the regular Treats & Treasures hopefully being a more inspired journal keeper and photographed entries.

A bientot a Treats & Treasures a Paris!

I posted about this some time ago, but finally I have opened a little shop in the corner of this website. It's all very very low key still, but it is a small start...

The idea came when I made the "Hello" screenprints. Apart from cards I made ten prints to frame (signed and numbered :-)) and give as gifts, when I thought - why not sell five of them! So that's what I am doing here. Please drop a line if you are interested!

A quick note to tell you that I will be visiting my friend Edith in Londen tomorrow for a couple of days. Will be back online next Friday, hopefully with lots of inspiration --

I came across Fafi: fun and cool girlie stuff.

Have a good week everyone!

Les jeux sont faits - the results are in. And... the happy winners (blindly picked by juror Jeroen) are:
  • Abby
  • Veronica
  • Bert (the only guy responding, uh, my father! :-))

You will receive a Treats & Treasures suprise package shortly. I am still collecting it but I will send you an e-mail as soon as the package is off to the post office.

As for the "losers", please send me your mailing address (via the e-mail button above) so I can at least send you something teeny-tiny as a way of saying thanks for joining!

This was fun! Any reason for a little celebration, right? :-)

I just finished my second journal and started in my third... Since I just all of a sudden started this blog, and never really explained why I do what I do, I thought this would be a good momentum to explain a little bit.

I started my journal as an application project for art school. When I had my first interview at art school, I got the following assignment for the second interview:

Visual journal

Create an image for at least 21 days about an aspect of that certain day. Use different techniques. Try new - especially new to you - techniques and materials. Try to integrate text and image. Size is free, you can work in a dummy.

And here I am - working every day on something simple of more complicated, just depending on my mood, long after the first 21 days and even long after I heard I got accepted in school. This journal has become a very rewarding element in my life, really. It is just a great thought of going to bed knowing you made something, even though it might be a very simple collage that took only 10 minutes to make. It pushes me to discover new things and has learned me a lot.

Also the journal is the basis for the blog, which has been even more rewarding than the journal itself. And to thank you for all your wonderful comments, which are so appreciated, I am making three suprise packages for YOU!*

So, just leave a comment or drop a line if you are interested and I, or even better, an "objective third party", will pick three names from the respondents next Saturday, from 10.00 CET.

*This good tradition is started by Amy of Posy Press, who did a similar thing a week ago where moi was in fact one of the happy winners :-)

Through Mav I found these Jeu de Paume books. I ordered this one, and it is a must read for all you lovers of pretty and inspiring things! It is just everything I like in one little book.

[Also, the price is quite attractive (about EUR 15 including shipping), the shipping takes only a week, the Japanese stamps on the envelope are gorgeous and you get a free card too! I am quite sure this will not be the last Jeu de Paume book I order... ]
