I have been tagged by Trudi and Amy. Ok, let's get started straight away!
1. Five minutes to yourself: how would you spend them, ideally?
- I would draw something in my journal probably. Or make a cup of tea and read some headlines of the newspaper. Or I would browse your blogs. I love reading what everyone's up to.
2. Five bucks to spend right now; how would you spend it?
- For convenience I'd make that euro's (which is also more). I'd buy an Elle Girl probably. I know I am way too old for it but I like it. I could also buy some pink tulips. Or ten daffodils, in which case I would still have some money left for a piece of felt, some paper or a ribbon.
3. Five items in your house you could part with, right now, that you hadn’t thought of already?
- I hate to say it but the first thing I can think of is a sideboard that J inherited from his aunt recently. It's antique and worth a lot but it is kind of "medieval looking", as my father put it quite adequately. (I must admit that I have been thinking about this already)
- Used boxes I save for future swaps. I know I will never use them since they are too ugly and I hate sending out ugly parcels.
- Most of our kitchen towels (yellow, orange and red fruit patterned ones). They remind me of my time as a student when I was not in a position to comment on horrible kitchen supplies that were given to me.
- My orchid. I think I gave it too much water.
- Empty water bottles with deposit on it. I am still waiting for them to walk back to the store themselves.
4. Five items you absolutely, positively could never part with in your house?
- My grandmother's photoalbums
- My own photoalbums and all the framed photo's in the house
- My art collection
- My journals
- The green bunny I won in the Swedish park Liseberg when I was 5
5. Five words you love?
- Notions
- Stamps
- "My art collection"
- Ferragamo
- Ballerina's (preferably combined with the Ferragamo word)
That was fun! Now I am tagging Anabel, Jan and Sabine.

The lovely Trudi, from Double Happiness has received my package, from the paper + ribbon swap, organized by Ellia. I am soooo glad she likes it! :-)

Yesterday I finished my journal. Full, from the first to the last page! Three months of drawing and designing daily have passed. I found it extremely satisfying to be motivated to create something everyday. It can be simple or not, but it does document what you do, see, feel. Things you easily forget. Also, it helps me developing my style and skills. For all those reasons it became a valuable object, that thick, chunky Moleskine squared reporter notebook. I started on my own, keeping everything for myself. Not anymore, since you are all so kind to visit my site and even comment on the things I make. Not only is this a huge motivation for me to go on, it sure makes all the drawing, computing, glueing, collecting and so on way more interesting! A big thank you for that. And now there's number 2... Lovely Sunday to you all!

Today I found a beautiful package in the mail. Sent by the lovely Abigail! These earrings are just so beautiful. And were giftwrapped amazingly.
J gave it as a gift to me after some serious hinting from my side ;-) Well, actually, I gave him this Suunto watch he wanted. It so much better to exchange gifts, rather than to treat yourself with a gift. A form of old fashioned swapping basically.

Tomorrow is my mother's birthday, which we celebrated today. A small personal gift I gave today was this etch of a pansy. I made it yesterday at my orientation course in art school. I was so hungover from a great dinner with friends Friday, but after half an hour of denying the alarmclock (at - eeks - 07.00) and flirting with the idea of skipping the class, I dragged myself in the shower and drove to The Hague. So glad I did. Being productive makes me just so... well, happy! :-)
