I love this pattern - it's just the easiest and quickest thing I knitted and I quite like the result. It's great with la Petite Robe Noire in winter - going to a formal family dinner or a classical concert :-)I got the green wool and the pattern at La Droguerie in Nice last year. So when I was in Paris some weeks ago, I decided to buy wool for a a blue/grey version too. Now that the blue one is finished (in less than two afternoons really), I am thinking of adjusting a scarf to it and wear it as a cape/scarf, without the ribbon. When that's done, I'll post about it. Ok, the pattern...
You need:
- 50 gram Kid Mohair (90% mohair, 10% polyamide) in the two colors you want to use (so 100 gram in total)
- Needles size 15 mm
- Satin ribbon 1 m
Cast on 22 stitches with the two colors, very loosely. From here you knit one knit stitch and one purl stitch, starting with a knit stitch and ending with a purl stitch for each row. Just continue until the wool is finished and bind off (keep enough wool to bind off ofcourse). Pull the ribbon through your pretty etole and make a bow. Voila!
